Installing and Using a Proxy bookmarklet.

What is a proxy bookmarklet, and how do I install one?

A proxy bookmarklet allows you to access a web site from outside the libraries' web pages, that normally may require authentication. For example if you've been sent an e-mail, about a new source, perhaps from a friend or colleague, you can use the proxy bookmarklet to add the U of Manitoba's proxy information to the URL. You would then be prompted to insert your student number and PIN and have direct access to that resource.

Select here to view a short video on how to install a proxy bookmarklet.

Electronic collections

Can't make it to the library?
Working late, got errands to run, but still need that book?

The library has an ever increasing number of books that are available electronically to staff, students and faculty.  Just one such collection is myilibrary.  You'll find it in our list of databases, or select here to view books with 'social work' in the title.  There will be many more relevant topics in this and other electronic book collections.

You can also find these books by searching the catalogue and limiting your search to electronic items from the limiting options in the catalogue.
